Your text never leaves your browser

Privacy

Last updated: March 2026

Every tool on Scratchpad runs entirely in your browser. Your text, your data, your regex patterns — none of it leaves your machine. There is no server to send it to. We didn't build one.

Data collection

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to see basic traffic data: page views, visitor counts, and top pages. It runs on Cloudflare's edge, doesn't use cookies, doesn't collect personal data, and doesn't track you across sites. There's no way for us to identify individual visitors. We use it to know if the site is working, not to know who's using it.

Beyond that: no tracking pixels, no session recording, no fingerprinting. We don't know what you paste, how long you spend on a page, or anything about you personally.

Cookies

Scratchpad doesn't set any cookies for tool functionality. If third-party ads are added in the future, those ad networks may set their own cookies. We'll update this page if that happens and be transparent about it.

Accounts

There are no accounts. No email addresses, no passwords, no "sign in with Google." There's nothing to sign into because there's nothing to store. Every tool session starts fresh and ends when you close the tab.

Offline & service worker

Scratchpad uses a service worker to cache pages for offline use. This cache lives in your browser and isn't transmitted anywhere. You can clear it through your browser's settings at any time.

Third-party services

The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare may collect standard server logs (IP addresses, request timestamps) as part of their infrastructure. We don't have access to these logs and don't use them. Fonts are self-hosted from our own domain, so no third-party font services see your traffic.

Future changes

If we add advertising, analytics, or any feature that changes this privacy posture, we'll update this page before making the change. The core promise doesn't change: your text and data stay in your browser. That's the whole point.
